I was recently speaking with a friend about technology and our children. As I have pondered our conversation, I was reminded about truth from President Dallin H. Oaks when he shared the importance of seeking truth from correct sources.
One truth is that we live in a moment of time where we all may find hundreds of answers to questions right at the tip of our fingers.
But how many of the answers we find are absolute truth? Sometimes all we can hope for is that the answer is mostly true.
When searching for truth, there is always this caution: is what you’re finding real truth?
One source of real truth for me is our prophets and apostles. How grateful I am for their guidance because I know the source of their truth will always come from the Savior.

There is indeed such a thing as absolute truth – unassailable, unchangeable truth.
This truth is different from belief. It is different from hope. Absolute truth is not dependent upon public opinion or popularity. Polls cannot sway it. Not even the inexhaustible authority of celebrity endorsement can change it.

The source of truth he is speaking is that of our Heavenly Father, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost who will always guide us to Them.
When our Savior, Jesus Christ becomes central to our lives, then we begin to see things more clearly. We begin to understand more. We begin to have more patience. We begin to gain more clarity. We know with surety that He is absolute truth.
If we will only have enough courage and faith to walk in His path, it will lead us to peace of heart and mind, to lasting meaning in life, to happiness in this world, and to joy in the world to come.

I know that we can gain strength when we seek Him as our truth.
Not an easy path, but a strength no matter the path.
In my life, this is the one, absolute truth I do know.
If we want to find truth, we find it through Jesus Christ.
